This is certainly the best independently produced yoga DVD that I have seen, and it has an impressive amount of content and viewing options to boot. Sadie Nardini is an up-and-coming yoga teacher based out of NYC who has a wide following for her numerous (currently 148!) YouTube videos. The DVD has six different 60-90 minute yoga programs to choose from, with a range of focus and intensity. Overall the sequences are quite challenging and definitely build strength and endurance.
Sadie has a unique blend of sweetness and strength in her teaching style, and approaches the practice passionately and creatively. (You will be using undulating wave movements, shakti kicks and fists of fire during this practice!) She also gives innovative ways to move into the poses and teaches many creative pose variations to make the yoga sequences unique and engaging. If you are new to yoga you will definitely want to check out the bonus options section where Sadie gives an intro to the practice, explains mula bandha and ujjaii pranayama, and provides an excellent segment on how to modify the poses to your level of ability. This is a value packed DVD that has been skillfully designed and crafted to accommodate and challenge a wide rage of abilities and experience. If you are needing to spice up your yoga practice and challenge yourself, this DVD is for you.
