Eating disorders can destroy lives. Take it from me, Ive actually struggled with one for the majority of my adult life. At first, in my very early teens when I started to become aware of boys and of my body and my becoming a woman and getting curves in places I didnt understand, I began to diet.
At first, as with many other eating disorders, my dieting was healthy.
I define cardio machine addiction as performing the same routine on typical cardio machines (treamills, ellipticals, and stationary bikes) on a regular basis without achieving any results.
Back when I belonged to a gym, I was extremely excited to have all of the equipment available for my use. However, after a few weeks, I started to realize that I was only utilizing the cardio machines. In my mind, I figured exercise was exercise and I didn’t need to lift weights or try anything different. So every day, I got on a treadmill, ran for 20 – 30 minutes and left.

TUESDAY, Feb. 28 — Taking the hallucinogen ecstasy during pregnancy may harm the health of the fetus and lead to poorer motor control in infants, a new study suggests.
Researchers asked 96 British women about their substance-abuse history before and during pregnancy. The women were taking part in the University of East London Drugs and Infancy Study, which looks at recreational drug use among pregnant women. Most of the women reported taking a range of illegal drugs both before and during pregnancy.
Infant growth, motor control and brain development were assessed at birth and when babies were 4 months old.
Infants born to mothers who used ecstasy during pregnancy had worse motor control and poorer hand-eye coordination at 4 months than babies whose mothers didn’t use the drug.
