If you dream of sporting the kind of cut, six pack that makes the ladies knees go weak; the kind of imposing middle that makes men run from you in fear; the sort of hard, knotty mid section that wins you a Strongest Man competition, then you should probably spend more time at the weight bench than you do researching miracle pills like Noxycut.
Noxycut is yet another over the counter weight loss supplement that promises to yield amazing results with hardly a finger lifted by you. Like most of these types of supplements, the Food and Drug Administration has not confirmed or denied any of the claims made by Noxycut. In reality, at this point the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) would need somewhere near a hundred years and hundreds of thousands of researchers in order to test the claims of all of these over the counter supplements. Holding out for FDA approval is not a strategy the average consumer would be smart to consider.
But where does that leave you? Without the FDA weighing in on Noxycut, and with no clinical testing to be found, how can you determine if there is any truth to their claims of extreme weight loss with massive muscle building with very little weight lifting involved?
The first thing you can do is look at the ingredients in Noxycut. The very first ingredient listed on their website is Tribulus terrestris. Tribulus terrestris is also referred to as Goathead and is a popular ingredient in some dietary and over the counter sexual assisting medications. Tribulus terrestris is purported to increase the amount of testosterone in your body. According to the makers of Noxycut, this small increase in your testosterone (which has been found in some independent research studies) is enough to help you see a noticeable difference in your testosterone levels. Unfortunately, it has been found to increase the levels so slightly, this claim is doubtful.
Another ingredient found in Noxycut is caffeine. Caffeine is a stimulant. It can increase your energy as well as your metabolism. In healthy amounts, like in your morning coffee, caffeine makes a noticeable difference in your energy level, but doesn’t increase your metabolism so much that people are running out to create a coffee diet. Instead, it increases it minimally. Unless Noxycut has enough caffeine to make you feel weak, sick, dizzy and experience heart palpitations, it probably doesn’t have enough to create weight loss either.
Noxycut contains creatine ethyl ester to promote muscle building. Creatine does help to build muscle, since it is one of the basic parts of a muscle. As if to prove that point, plants and other vegetation do not contain creatine. There are some degenerative muscular diseases that have shown improvement after treatment involving creatine. So far, the use of creatine in a muscle building and weight loss supplement has not been approved or supported since it is still in the testing phase.
Even if you decide that there is enough evidence to prove Noxycut’s efficacy, that doesn’t mean you should just go out and try it. Before adding any kind of over the counter weight loss supplement to your diet you really need to schedule an appointment with your primary care physician. He or she will be able to tell you if they think there is any danger in taking the supplement or if they think it will cause you any harm.
In general, there is no real replacement for the health benefits and pride that come from working out regularly and eating healthy. Imagine creating the body of your dreams without the use of a supplement—instead, with slow and steady determination and healthy resolve. That adds many extra rewards that you can not put a price on.
