We have all been bombarded with information about why hydrogenated vegetable fats, or trans fats are really bad for health because they clog arteries and cause obesity and all sorts of health problems.

They are so terrible for us, and have no redeeming feature, and yet trans fats are to be found in any number of products that line the super market shelves.

Research has shown us that hydrogenated fats are actually toxic to the body since they cannot be broken down and accumulate in the body.

Light Veggie Wrap Recipe

So, I think I’ve discovered my latest favorite lunch idea. It’s meat free, and taste delicious. Even my husband thinks it’s filling!  I’ve also discovered a favorite new grocery item as well, which this veggie wrap uses. It’s really not a wrap, per se, but you can wrap it a bit. It uses a flat bread. The flat bread I use is the Flat Out whole grain flat bread one.  It’s only 100 calories and very tasty and filling.

This was a question that I had when I was trying to scale back a few pounds just a few months ago. I didn’t want to rely on appetite suppressants, but I wanted to instead make sure I was getting the right amount of nourishment at each meal to sustain me without going off the deep end and ruining my diet at any one meal.

Especially dinner, which is the one meal you shouldn’t eat a huge amount of calories because you don’t burn them all off in your sleep, yet this is the meal that everyone seems to really go for the gold with calorie wise because we are at home from work and relaxed, and well, quite hungry from the day.

What I’ve been doing, or trying to do, is eat a breakfast that only consists of fruit, preferably an in-season fruit like right now strawberries is my fruit of choice. I load
