  • Eating everything that is put on the plate.
  • Keeping food in the fridge past its sell-by date.
  • Eating food about to go off instead of throwing it away.
  • Keeping leftovers from every meal.
  • Eating your childrens leftovers.
  • Buying extra food when its on offer, regardless of need.
  • Accepting peoples offers of food rather than be rude.

All these behaviors are usually centered on concerns about wastage, gratitude and fear, but in fact they overlook the real reason why you joined the club in the first place.

Remember, you belong to the clean plate club only because of childhood conditioning.
